The Haircut

So, last night Sam decided that he would cut Truman's hair. At the time I thought it was an okay idea. I even liked it this morning....until I pulled up a picture of him from Thanksgiving. Now I really miss those soft, blonde curls.

He definitely looks older now.

This Boy

This boy....there really are no words for him. At 4 years old, he is one of the most energetic children I have ever seen. Quite frankly, I'm a little concerned about how he'll ever be able to sit still in school. I just don't think many teachers will appreciate his wonderful personality and enthusiasm for life. We have one year to work on his self control. In the meantime, he is a riot! He cracks me up on a daily basis and also showers me with sweet little boy love. He's the first to hug and kiss me and tell me how much he loves me :o)

As much as I want him to be able to control his impulses in a school setting, I certainly hope his sweet, loving ways don't leave him anytime soon. I cherish those wet, juicy smooches that he plants on my face.

3 Months Old

So time got away from me and the princess is now 3 months old. I just adore this chubby baby girl! She has a great personality and loves to cuddle. She now sleeps about 13-14 hours a night and just loves to snuggle. I seriously think she's going to pass up Truman before too long. As it is, they wear the same size cloth diapers. Now, really, how is that possible? She's 3 months old and he's almost 23 months old. Nutty!

I've been working on my sewing maching and crocheting so hopefully I'll have some of my projects to post the next time! I'm sure slow, however, because it's a little hard to be crafty when you have a baby attached to your boob ;o)

Hodgepodge of pics

Yes, I have several pictures to post so they are going to be all jumbled in here. None of them are great but they are ones I like. One picture has horrid motion blur but I think Daisy looks sweet so I decided not to get rid of it. I think with her red hair and blue eyes, purple is my favorite color on her. Love it!

The first picture is a picture of Ava and Minnie. Ava's parents, Maria and Steve, are good friends of ours that we met when we lived in Washington. They were in Boston visiting Maria's parents so they decided to swing up by our house. It was great seeing them and the kids had a blast together.

My Beautiful, Crazy Kids

I think these kids are pretty amazing. They crack me up on a daily basis, especially Lincoln! In one of the pictures you'll notice that Truman looks like a dandelion and that would be from jumping on the trampoline and all the static electricity.

On Minnie's pictures I photoshopped out the dog bite. My poor sweet girl.

So Skinny

I have decided to take pictures of Daisy every month in the same diaper. I have a favorite Goodmama cloth diaper and it's a one size diaper so it should fit her until she potty trains. Anyway, I decided I'd better do her two month picture today and then I compared it to the one month picture (the picture in black and white is the 1 month pic). Look how skinny my girl got in the last month ;o)

I've been lax on my blogging...yet again. Daisy is a VERY good baby. She sleeps at night for about 12 hours and is just a delight.

The pictures of her in the floral outfit are from yesterday...so she would be 17 days old in those pictures. The bottom two pics in this post are just a couple of more from the ones I took when she was 5 days old.

Trying to adjust...

Well, today was the first entire day home with Daisy. It's been quite interesting as my mom was here for part of the day (then Sam and the kids took her back to the airport).

Daisy had a very good night last night. She nursed around 11:00pm, 2:00 am, and then again at 5:30 am. She slept great and so did I.

I got up at 6:00 am to get the kids ready for school and Daisy slept for all of that, which worked out well. I'm thinking she's a bit more yellow today which may be the reason why she's sleeping so well. We got to her check up tomorrow and we'll probably have her jaundice looked at then. She did have 2 really good poopy diapers so hopefully the bilirubin is breaking up and leaving her body.

The trickiest part is going to be watching Truman and making sure he doesn't hurt Daisy. He was not happy at all when he visited me at the hospital and now it seems that he may like her (he says "baby" when he sees her) but he is so rough that I can't tell if he's patting her head or hitting her. Plus, he's coming down with a cold and has been crabby as can be....not something I feel like dealing with, truthfully.

Anyway, I've decided to blog more so I can record everything about this joyous time in our lives. Daisy is our last baby and I want to cherish all of her babyhood and not forget any of it :o)

Daisy Faith

Our much anticipated bundle of joy entered the world on Friday, March 13th, 2009. Daisy Faith Thomas entered this world at 8:56pm, weighing 8 pounds 8.7 ounces and 21 inches long. Her apgars were 9 and 9 :o) This is the baby that we weren't sure would be born healthy or not. After 5 months of praying, hoping, and just counting on Faith, we were blessed with this precious baby girl that looks healthy! Praise God!

I arrived at the hospital at 7:00 am with Sam and Riley. It took a little bit to be admitted and set up in my room but they started my pitocin at 8:08 am. I had a very nice nurse, Ella, from Australia, that stayed with me all day, until about 7:10 pm. My water was broken around 9:30 and then I got my epidural in the 2:00 hour. It took several tries for my epidural got in, due to my scoliosis, and it hurt like heck, but once in all was good.

This happened to be my very longest labor ever...which seems kind of funny considering she's my 7th baby...but worth every second of it all!

Daisy is just soooo sweet! Loves her Mama, loves being held, and loves nursing. Now...if only my milk would hurry up and come in. Little Miss is hungry and has a super strong suck!

The pictures are when she was one day old :o)
